We are the Mini and Junior Section of Thornbury RFC. Boys and Girls from 6 years old can start playing non-contact “Tag Rugby”. As the Children move up each age group from U7s to U12s further aspects of the game are introduced. At U13s the Children can then start to play 15 aside Rugby. We also have two very successful Girls teams at U15’s and U18’s level who are an integral part of the coaching set up, the U15’s winning the National Cup last season, and some of whom already represent the game at a Regional and National level. Games normally take place on Sunday mornings and new players of all ages and abilities are always most welcome, especially if you’ve never played rugby before, please come along and develop your skills with our large team of RFU trained junior coaches, all of whom are police vetted for suitability in accordance with Club Policy. We also benefit from mentoring by players from our Senior Teams most of whom have developed their skills in our junior teams before progressing to the

senior game.The development of rugby within the Club is recognised by our accreditation under the RFU / Sport England “Seal of Approval” under which we have now progressed to achieve Year 2 Level within the scheme.
