The Chantry Playing Field

The Thornbury Broncos also have use of an overflow pitch called The Chantry Field , here are some directions from the M5 Junction 15 , also a map link to UK Streetmap showing you the exact location :-

From M5 Junction 15 , down the slip road and take the right hand side turn off towards Almondsbury.

A38 (Gloucester Road),

Continue straight into A38 (Gloucester Road) unitil the Thornbury turn off at Alveston ( Just after the Alveston House Hotel ).

Leave the A38 and turn left into B4061 (Thornbury Road) for 399 yards.

Leave the B4061 (Thornbury Road) and bear left into B4061 (Alveston Hill) for 0.6 miles.

Follow the road down past Thornbury Leisure Centre and Golf Club.

At the first mini roundabout go straight on down the high street.

At "The Pump" follow the road right , past the Royal George Pub.

Take the left hand side fork at the mini roundabout onto Gloucester Road.

¼ of a mile on the left hand side is the Chantry Playing fields , they are located opposite the County Council offices. The entrance gate is opposite the offices .

Extra parking is available on the car park for the offices or next left after the playing fields into Church Road.
